SGS Nāda Mahotsav serves as a grand global sanctuary for sound therapy, academic study, and spiritual awakening. Hosted across international chapters of Avadhoota Datta Peetham, this initiative preserves ancient Indian classical traditions while fostering an interactive educational ecosystem.
Parama Pujya Sri Ganapathy Sachchidananda Swamiji
His Holiness Sri Ganapathy Sachchidananda Swamiji, founder of Avadhoota Datta Peetham (Mysuru, India), is a globally venerated spiritual leader, Vaggeyakara (composer-lyricist), and pioneer in Music Therapy (Nāda Chikitsa). Born in the musical lineage of Venkatamakhi, author of the Caturdandi Prakāsikā, Sri Swamiji has composed thousands of works indexed within Bhajan Mala. His compositions range from classical Swarakshara and Niroshtaka Kritis to folk-inspired Namavalis and Group Kritis.

The SGS Nāda Mahotsav Organizing Committee, under the divine guidance of Parama Pujya Sri Swamiji and in partnership with Yoga Sangeeta Inc. and Suravaram Pratapa Reddy Telugu University, warmly invites Carnatic music academies, independent gurus, teachers, and student ensembles to join the SGS Music Movement.
As we gather to showcase the vast richness of Sri Swamiji's compositions, this festival serves as an international assembly for classical artists, teachers, and students to present their talent, engage in musicological research, and experience the transformative power of Nāda Yoga.
Opportunities for Participating Academies & Students
Academies and students can participate across a variety of structured performance, competition, and academic tiers:
1. Group Singing & SGS Music Ensembles
- Academy Showcases: Present group renditions of Sri Swamiji’s compositions, ranging from foundational Geethams and Swara Devatha Kritis to multilingual bhajans and Group Kritis (such as the Tripura Navavarana or Ashtadasha Shakti Peetha series).
- Ensemble Performances: Orchestrate vocal and instrumental ensembles (Violin, Veena, Keyboard, Flute, Mridangam) featuring Sri Swamiji’s Apoorva Ragas and signature compositions.
2. Music Competitions
- Vocal & Instrumental Contests: Student competitions organized by level and category, emphasizing accurate Swarasthana alignment, raga purity, Tala precision, and Bhava.
- Specialized Categories: Categories highlighting technical masterworks, including Swarakshara Kritis (where lyrics match solfa swara names) and Vivaadi Mela compositions.
3. Academic & Research Poster Presentations
- Poster Displays & Demos: Open for music teachers, advanced students, and researchers to present academic poster displays on Swarasthana acoustics, Nāda Chikitsa (Raga Therapy), and raga-chakra/nadi correlations based on Sri Swamiji's landmark treatise, Rāga Rāginī Nāda Yoga.
